Picture & Video Messaging

Share your story by snapping pics or shooting videos of your goofiest, most memorable moments as they happen! Then send them off to any wireless customer in Canada and the U.S, and to select international destinations or to any e-mail address around the world.

Each message sent to a Canadian wireless customer or an e-mail address costs 50¢
Each message sent to a US or International wireless customer cost 75¢
Picture and video message bundle: get 100 messages sent to a Canadian wireless customer or en email address for $5/month.

Messages can be up to 300 KB each. A charge applies per recipient for each message sent. Picture and video messages received while in Canada are free. Other conditions apply.

Fido MobileMail

Send and receive emails that are pushed to your Fido phone from your Windows Live™ Mail, Rogers™ Yahoo!® Mail, Yahoo!® Mail and Gmail accounts as well as from most Internet Services Provider email accounts and other web-based email communities. Receive free email notifications on your phone for all incoming emails. Read, reply, forward, delete and compose emails just like you're used to.

$8/month: MobileMail email & Instant Messaging (send and receive unlimited emails and IM)

Instant Messaging

Chat from your Fido with Windows Live™ Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger™, and enjoy desktop like features that you're used to. See who’s online and start chatting with other users on their mobile or computer.

$8/month: MobileMail email & Instant Messaging (send and receive unlimited emails and IM)

Pay-Per-Use available: 15¢ per message sent (received messages are free).
Monthly option includes access to Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger or both.

Email to Text

Fido Email to text service allows you to receive email sent to your Fido mobile email address (your 10 digit Fido number @fido.ca) right on your handset. You can read, reply, forward your e-mail and even block senders from sending you unwanted messages and spam.

Regular text message charges will apply when you reply to a Message Alert at either 20¢/message or as per your text messaging plan.
A monthly fee of $5 applies when you subscribe to the Email to text Direct Delivery Option¹.

¹ The Direct Delivery Option allows you to receive the first 160 characters of each message automatically. Message Alerts will no longer be sent to you when you subscribe to this optional feature. All other features will remain the same.

Amber Alerts

When a child is abducted, everyone feels the loss. The early stage of the investigation is critical. Information obtained quickly through an AMBER Alert may assist in the safe and swift return of an abducted child.

A Wireless AMBER Alerts is a FREE text message that can be sent to your phone when an AMBER Alert is issued by local police. You can opt-in to receive free AMBER Alerts for your local area as text messages on your cell phone.

Signing up is easy and free. Text the keyword AMBER to 26237 (AMBER) to get started.
