I have the Novatel wireless CDMA internet stick and its painfully slow on my mac. I did a speed test at and I get 90% of the time got 0.10kb/s, and then suddendly (but rarely) it boosts up too 1.40 mb/s, bottom line, MTS internet stick sucks.

This product is absolutely terrible in my area! It is worse than dial-up but you pay the price of high speed! They also lock you into a plan and then you can't get out of it, so you are stuck paying for something that you don't even use because it takes forever to even download a page to look at your emails! I give this and the company I got it from a BIG THUMBS DOWN!!!

windows 7 incompatibility

Reviewed on Saturday August 7, 2010 by , Canada
I purchased this internet stick from Virgin Mobile as pay as you go. I first downloaded it into a laptop operating on windows xp, it worked well. I then purchased a new laptop, this one using windows 7. Downloading the driver for the stick has been a is not operable on windows 7 unless you get a patch. It's been 3 weeks and counting, and I'm still waiting for VIRGIN MOBILE to email the patch to me....numerous phonecalls have been to no avail, the tech support from Virgin has been non existent. I'm definately not feeling "the love"

Some issues

I use this device in a rural area. My speed though faster than dial up still needs some tweaking. I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 7. The Novatel 760 did not work . Three different tech.s could not figure out how to connect to Windows 7. One told me I was out of luck and would have to purchase something else. The fourth knew exactly what to do and the update worked. She said she had read some manual.Sasktel need to train their people better. I need Novatel tech help but I can't find it. Web doesn't include updates.HELP

Good, but needs a tweek.

Very good . . . once connected. It takes about 4 tries. Sasktel thinks a software tweek is likely needed. Sasktel Mobility is working on it I'm told.
I give it 4 stars - five coming after the fix.
