Apple iPhone Coming to Bell & TELUS Next Month

October 6, 2009
Bell & TELUS have announced they will be adding the Apple iPhone 3G & 3GS to their smartphone line-up next month.  This ends Rogers almost year and a half exclusivity with the device that saw it's market share jump during the same period of time.

The iPhone has helped drive Rogers' wireless growth through the recession by 7 per cent this year. Rogers has said its iPhone customers spend 11/2 times more than its average wireless subscriber.

No pricing has been announced by Bell or TELUS but not expect any discounted iPhone pricing.  Apple controls pricing by the carriers so expect similar pricing as Rogers & Fido at launch.  Right now the iPhone 3G & 3GS are selling for:

iPhone 3GS
  • 16 GB - $199.00 on a 3-year contract
  • 32 GB - $299.00 on a 3-year contract
iPhone 3G
  • 8 GB - $99.00 on a 3-year contract
  • 16GB - $149.00 on a 3-year contract
