Microsoft Announces Windows Mobile 7, now known as Windows Phone

Today Microsoft announced there anticipated Windows Mobile 7 which now goes by "Windows Phone". The Windows Phone OS definitely borrows the look & feel of the Microsoft Zune and provides Microsoft with a fresh start to try and regain ground lost to the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android.



Microsoft didn't show off any consumer devices at the event and only had development devices that were very pre-production. They hope that the first Windows Phone will be available in time for the 2010 Holiday Season. We've compiled a number of videos from across the web below.
