Samsung TecTiles 2 Coming Soon to Canada

Looking to further integrate NFC into your daily life?

With the recent launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung has announced the replacement of original NFC tags with a new ‘TecTile 2’ tag. Samsung TecTiles is "an app which lets you read and write TecTile NFC tags." These tags allow you to program your phone to do certain things using NFC technology, and are becoming increasingly popular in Canada. These TecTiles are small stickers that can be programmed to store specific information.  After this information has been programmed, TecTiles are made active by simply tapping your NFC capable device to the tile.

Samsung TecTilesThere are multiple uses for your Samsung TecTile tag. Examples include:

  • Change phone settings
  • Make calls
  • Send messages
  • Open web pages
  • Update social statuses
  • Toggle Music Playback
  • Turn on and off your GPS
  • Check into places
  • Launch an app
  • Switch phone profiles
  • Join a Wi-Fi network
  • Play a track
  • Save a bookmark
  • Set an alarm

These TecTiles are allowing Samsung consumers to further incorporate NFC into their day-to-day lives.
