Introducing Apple iPhone X

Apple iPhone X

Announced at Apple's keynote speech on September 12th (which you can find here if you missed it that day.), meet the iPhone X. You'll have to be patient because iPhone X is not available until November 3rd, but you can reserve one on October 27th when pre-orders begin.

iPhone X will come in 64 GB or 256 GB capacities, like the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus that were also recently announced. You can choose from either Silver or Space Grey finishes, though you won't see much of the finish from the front side of the device with its massive 5.8-inch Super Retina HD OLED display.

The iPhone X is packed with Apple's new A11 Bionic CPU. It has four efficiency cores that are up to 70 percent faster than the A10 Fusion in the iPhone 7 series. A11 also has two performance cores that are up to 25 percent faster. The new A11 Bionic can power Augmented Reality apps and games - all on the new Apple iOS 11 - making the iPhone X more capable than ever, so you can be too.

The iPhone X is Apple's first smartphone ever with facial recognition technology, thanks to the new TrueDepth camera. Working with the A11 Bionic chip, the TrueDepth camera captures and analyzes more than 50 different muscle movements, then mirrors your expressions in any of the 12 different Animoji characters - inlcuding a unicorn, a Grey, or cute kitty cat. Animoji include your voice, and you can share your videos within Messages.

Key Features:

  • It's all Screen - With iPhone X, the device is the display. All all-new 5.8-inch Super Retina HD screen fills the hand and dazzles the eyes.

  • Face ID - Your face is now your password. A tiny space houses some of the most sophisticated technology we’ve ever developed, including the cameras and sensors that enable Face ID. The TrueDepth camera projects and analyzes more than 30,000 invisible dots to create a precise depth map of your face. Face ID is so secure you can us it with Apple Pay and check out with just a glance.

  • Wireless Charging - Wireless charging for a wireless world. With no charging cable required, iPhone X is truly designed for the future of wireless. Charge with wireless charging stations and mats in hotels, cafés and airports around the world.

  • Animoji - The TrueDepth camera analyzes more than 50 different muscle movements to mirror your expressions in 12 Animoji. Reveal your inner panda, pig or robot.
  • Augmented Reality - A11 Bionic powers extraordinary augmented reality experiences in games and app on the world’s largest platform for augmented reality.
