Not many Sony Xperia devices make their way to Canada, but in a Tweet by Sony a few days ago, we learned that the Sony Xperia XZ1 will be coming to Bell and Freedom Mobile on October 26th. It has been available via Amazon since last month but these will be the first official carriers to have it in stock and can sell it with a warranty, and this will be the first LTE band 66 compatible Xperia device to be sold by Freedom Mobile.
Colour availability has not been specified yet, but device does come in 4 colour options: Black, Moonlit Blue, Venus Pink and Warm Silver. It features a fingerprint sensor, IP65/67 water resistance rating, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and a whole-day long-lasting battery lifespan. It's best feature is definitely the Motion Eye™ camera with super slow motion and predictive capture that automatically detects and snaps motion and smiles before you even click. The main camera also uses autofocus to capture bursts of motion in sharp focus so fast-action shots won't be ruined by blurs. The front-facing selfie camera with 13-megapixels with a 1/3.06" low-light sensor and a display flash so you can take selfies in any light.
No word on whether the XZ1 Compact will be following the XZ1 to carriers or not.
Availability & Pricing:
- Pricing still TBA. We will update this story closer to launch date.
