Bad phone worse customer service

Reviewed on Saturday March 9, 2019 by , Massachusetts
I have had this phone for six months, it took me, my provider, and two weeks time to figure out that the phone was shipped with the wrong settings for my location once this was fixed I had accetable service. Then a few months later it started to freeze up and you would have to let the battery die and recharge to unlock it. My provider took it back and reflashed it with an update. This seamed to work untill my two year old dropped it on a wood floor, I picked up the phone and watched as the screen fadded to a solid black screen. The phone has a three year warranty from sonim, who absolutely refuse to even look at it because it was not purchase directly through them and because my provider had flashed it. It remains a useless paperweight.

purchased phone in Decmember 2017 had it about five days and phone had not been dropped or abused but lost the charge plug fell out of it somewhere. six phone calls to sonim tech and seven emails later said they would send me a new one and bill me for it. I said i would not pay for it this is suppose to the toughest phone on the market and the charge plug falls out? My service provider gave me a new $40 plug for free and three days later the phone locks up completely sent it back under warranty and got a new one. Now on a transport the phone fell out of the pouch and the charge plug fell, out and could not find it two days ago. Yesterday the phone froze up no screen display and can't remove battery because it is built in so alarm went off for four minutes before it finally stopped. So far I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

Further to the last comments - I love the phone it sure is a rugged one and will withstand a little punishment - so I hope to figure out that no signal problem.
