What network does Bell MTS operate on?

BellMTS is now part of Bell’s wireless network, which overs 97% of Manitobans with 4G. It also now covers 85% of Manitobans with LTE Advanced coverage.

How fast are the Bell MTS network speeds?

You can access peak theoretical download speeds of up to 600 Mbps in Winnipeg and Brandon and up to 300 Mbps in other select areas* (expected average speeds 18-90 Mbps) —that’s up to 2x faster than the speeds experienced by BellMTS customers before.

* Available in select communities including Churchill, Morden, Portage La Prairie, Selkirk, Gimli, Thompson, Flin Flon, Falcon Lake, East St. Paul, Grand Beach, Onanole and Steinbach.

Can I still use my phone if I travel the US?

Yes. You wil be connected to one of BellMTS’ roaming partners and have access to HSPA/HSPA+ and GSM networks in the US. Before you leave, you should look into purchasing a Travel Pack for your account to save on roaming charges.

Can I travel to an international country with my phone?

Yes. Again, you should first purchase an international Travel Pack to save on roaming fees. If you do not have a Travel Pack you will be charged the current standard roaming rates.
