Be careful buying from Google

After purchasing a Nexus 7, Google 'locked' the account, never, despite over 50 emails and 15 phone calls over four months, did Google ever explain how, why, what to do, but kept insisting I must send photos of my driver's license and utility bill!, still did not offer any means to sort it out, despite admitting they had those items. Google just moved the issue from one employee to another more than a dozen different ones, finally revealed they never received the money despite a valid credit card, which they acknowledged, then Google offered me an upgraded version (32GB), for the original price, listed the shipping date, I authorized payment, then a week later, denied it again, changed the product to the original Nexus 7, however, a refurbished one, for more money than the price of the original!
Lesson: never buy directly from Google, and why would a company this large and successful, not sort this out quickly?
