Thunder Bay Telephone (Tbaytel) operates in Thunder Bay and its surrounding areas, and is the largest cellular service provider in Northwestern Ontario.

In existence since 1902, Tbaytel evolved to begin a “strategic business relationship” with Rogers in 2010, allowing wireless mobile customers to enjoy national and international roaming.

They now offer an LTE and HSPA+ 4G network that extends throughout a 300,000 square kilometer area, making it the largest of its kind in Northern Ontario. They also retain domestic roaming agreements with Rogers and MTS (Manitoba Telecom Services).
