A Philadelphia-based software developer named Nomadio has taken advantage of a partially completed feature in Microsoft's new Windows 7 operating system to come up with a download that allows any computer to function as a wireless access point.
Nomadio's offering, called Connectify, is currently available in beta form for free, though the company is hoping to develop a more robust version under a pay model.
