"As we enter the age of intelligence, AI is no longer a virtual concept but something that intertwines with our daily life. AI can enhance user experience, provide valuable services and improve product performance. The HUAWEI Mate 10 Series introduces the first mobile AI-specific Neural Network Processing Unit, launching a new era of intelligent smartphones, " said Richard Yu, CEO, HUAWEI Consumer Business Group.
In case you missed it live, here is HUAWEI's Mate 10 keynote from October 16th:
During IFA 2017 in Berlin, the Kirin 970 AI mobile chipset was first unveiled. It has now found a home in the HUAWEI Mate 10 series of smartphones. 3 new devices include the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, and Porsche Design Mate 10. All operate on a new and simplified EMUI 8.0 which is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. All three devices also have a 3D glass body, long battery life and integrate Leica's dual camera technology.
The Mate 10 Pro has the added bonus of an IP67 water and dust resistant rating. The Mate 10 features a stunning 5.9-inch screen with a 16:9 display, barely-there-bezel and HDR10 to support vivid colors. The Mate 10 Pro has a 6-inch, 18:9 OLED display, high screen-to-body ratio and HDR10 for dynamic video viewing. The Porsche Design is similar to the Mate 10 Pro but comes with 256GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM - along with a sleek diamond black design.
