not bad

I have had this phone for 1 month. It's light, pretty, has good reception, and good graphics. I like the internet capabilities. Weaknesses: the ring tone is not loud enough (even set at the max), does not disply name of missed caller, scratches easily and I can't take the back off (it's stuck or something).

I agree that it's a very good step up from a basic cellphone and for the little extra money, you get a lot of features. I still like the features on my old Nokia phone a bit more, but overall, the c650 provides a lot of good features and I am happy with it.

Not bad for the money

I purchased the c650 about 2 weeks ago. I have to say it is a good phone for the money, great pictures, great sound quality. the only thing that is really horrible about the phone is the design of the back cover. it is impossible to remove unless you have 8 hands. other than that it's great...but compared to my c333 anything is great!

great phone

Great phone for the money. As with any product one can always find flaws, but I have to say this phone has a lot of features. The sounds are great, the screen is great in low light and the voice quality won't disappoint. The build quality is quite good and so far the battery life holds up nicely despite intense use of the features.

I think the users guide could be better. There are so many features to use and often the UG doesn't have the correct steps outlined to use the features. But I guess the service provider should be able to help out.

I've used many motorola phones and I have to say this phone is made for the entry level customers or those who are budget-concern but is willing to put out a bit more cash for features. I have to say that the postitive end is that the phone comes with a color screen and a built in camera. And added positive point is that Motorola finally learn to place the send/end keys to the correct position. Send/answer key on the left side and End key on the right side of the phone!
Addition positive point is the ability to load MP3 ring tones and use the speakerphone to talk.

However, the major down fall is the terrible design for the joystick used for navigation. Unless your fingers or thumb was born with a mini hook in the end or you have a hang-nail...good luck in trying to navigate through the phone without accidently pushing the button down.
