Piece of Garbage

Reviewed on Tuesday January 13, 2004 by , Edmonton
This phone was acquired new in February 02 and gave barely acceptable performance in the Edmonton area and almost non-existent service outside of the metro area on Rogers system. Calls in the city were frequently dropped. The audio volume was weak. The phone finally began giving "no service" messages in the city by summer 03 (after the warranty expired, of course). Websites indicate this is a common issue with the wonky software Nokia installed. It can be upgraded, but that costs more than another piece of Rogers crap phone.

What a piece or crap! This would make an excellent paperweight, something to throw at the neighbour's cat, maybe something to place under the table leg thats shorter than the others...anything, but not a phone. The signal drops for no reason, there is feedback on the line at random intervals, I get network busy beeps like they are going out of style...but the worst thing has to be, talking to a friend on the line when there is a burst of static, and I'm suddenly talking to someone else [the same thing having just happened to them] AAARRRGGG!!!
In short do NOT buy this phone. Sales reps will say "Its the best selling phone out there" the fact that is free with a 2 year contract may have something to do with that.

Remember folks bestselling does not equal to best product.
