I have had many sprintpcs phones, My blue/gold sanyo 8100 phone. Is the very best phone to me, never lost a signal, strong battery, connection, durable phone. from my stand point of view i would of rated this phone a 10. The phone has never let me down as for as calls, downloads, pictures etc. heard many complaining about the picture quality, well get a digital camera, I would keep this phone for ever as long as they keep my updates coming.

great phone

I LOVE this phone. The reception is great, strong, battery life is very long....3 days even when i use the phone frequently. i read someone elses review about the phone not having an alarm clock. you can actually use the call alarm works just as well. i used it when i didn`t have an alarm clock and it woke me up every time. The camera quality is great...althought you have to have light..the more light, the more crystal clear it is. i find the camera is better than the one on the samsung a600 and the audiovox 8910. all in all, it`s a great phone, i`m very impressed!

Funny how the reviews here complain about reception with this phone. Most of the reviews I've read in the U.S. (on Sprint) have been very strong on reception. As well, I've heard lots of stories from people in AB and ON who say this is the best phone they've ever had when it comes to hanging on to a signal.

It may be specific locales/frequencies that result in a few people having issues with this set, but from what I've heard, this thing excels at keeping a call on the line.

Not so bad but not so good either

The phone is cool in that it takes pictures, has great ring tone sound quality (from the large rear speaker) but it has real problems being a phone. The earpiece sound quality is garbage. Muffled and always hard to hear with. People I call complain that I'm talking from a tunnel. Reception isn't great either. In my rural Alberta location (halfway between Calgary and Lethbridge) I chose Bell as an alternative to Telus who I was really fed up with...but, we always regret the actions we take in anger...;-) The fact that I can't get a local number in my town means that I have to have a Calgary or Lethbridge number so all my calls are long distance. I buy the toll-included service from Bell but that ups my monthly costs too. All in all, I'll probably bail on this phone very soon and return to Telus...:-(

phone's alright

This phone has it's good and bad points. I enjoy how it has a screen on the front that will display pictures as well. You can see a picture of who's calling, which is kind of fun. I wasn't really interested in a camera phone when I bought it. I only bought it since it was the only phone Bell had that I liked. However, I think it's pretty fun. The quality of the pictures on the phone are pretty good as well. I'm not sure of the MP or how well it looks on the computer or printed out, but the pictures look good on the phone. My problem with the phone is the reception sucks. I was with Telus before and never had problems in areas that I have a hard time getting a reception now. I live in a basement apartment, and never used to have trouble receiving a signal, but I have nothing but problems now. It keeps switching from digital to analog to no signal at all. I keep losing calls or they cannot hear me speaking. I think it all depends on where you live, since other places, I have absolutely no problems at all. Overall, the phone's great if you want a picture phone, but just remember that the reception isn't always that good.
