Samsung J706

Please do yourself some good and don't buy this stupid phone. Yes, it's cheap. But you get what you pay for. This bad phone just crashed on me and the screen is blanked out and all white. I've had this phone for about 3 months. Its easily chipped and the back cover is hard to open.

AHHHH !!
This phone, was at first, soo wonderfull because it was my very first cell phone. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty, and a very solid phone. It's alot better than those stupid flip phones. But it's still not the greatest.
It scratches easily, and i had locked myself out of my phone.
What i did, (this is me being stupid but, IT HAPPENS)
I made myself a password, and then i put this lock on my phone , and it has to be your pin number( like for the extra lock thingy so people can't read your texts and whatnot ) Anyways so i turned it off, and when i turned it back on it said Password, So i put it in and it sad "pass code passed" or whatever and then it said "Pin #" Like me i blanked and put my password again , it said three more times And like being me i put in random numbers until it said "pin block" "Puk" to me im thinking , What the hell is a puk?? of coarse to lady at rogers, didn't inform me , that it was one of those save yourself secret pin thingy . She also didn't inform me WITH THE CODE. So here's me still trying to unlock me by putting in a bunch of numbers, AGAIN. And sure enough that was blocked to. I then could not get onto my cell phone ,and it still dusts on my desk , haunting me everyday.
I extreemly dislike this cellular device.

I just received my phone today December 28/ 2009 at 11:A.M.
Phone Battery cover is impossible to open /but pushing on the back of the cover will work but it takes some effort-take care not to break the phone. [ Fragile ]
CD [ Included }for pc to phone needs upgrading online takes about an hour to upgrade on a DSL high speed connection. I'm running Windows 7 Home premium - software is for windows XP home edition.
Lacks memory only holds 3 songs at apex. 3 minutes. each.
I do not know if the Micro SD card will allow you to store more songs or just contact names but its not included with the phone - You must buy on its own. Phone uses 2GBS micro SD cards only.
NOT A STRONG LOOKING PHONE - [ Fragile ] Phone looks easy to break if dropped so take care.
Be sure to fully charge the battery before using!
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE HAS; GOOD FEATURES, EASY TO OPPERATE,
LOUD, BIG TEXT OPTIONS, CAN TRANSFER NAMES AND PHONE NUMBERS FROM PC TO PHONE.CAN TRANSFER MUSIC ETC. AS WELL.

My rating would be good a 3 star level

After not quite 2 months, the screen blanked out. rebooting the phone got the screen back but completely scrambled. Sent in for repairs only to be told it was 'impact damage' and would cost me more than I payed for it to be repaired. Rogers can't help, Samsung refused to get involved (no, Samsung does not warranty their own phones, they are sent to a 3rd party company) stating if the warranty company deemed it not under warranty, then it must be so.
Will not buy Samsung again.
