Apple XR - simply terrible

Wow....what can I say, this is simply one of the most frustratingly terrible pieces of consumer electronics I've ever owned...hard to find something good to say about it. The battery life is good, the camera is nice and the speed is solid, but not noticeably better than other similar products I've used.... and that's really where it ends, there isn't much else Iike and the things I don't like are sooo much more significant. First off, if you plan to use this phone to type much at all get ready for frustratingly bad auto correct, HORRIBLE editing functionality and very tired fingers...just plain difficult to type with any level of efficiency on this phone. Second, if you plan to use the actual phone get ready for SO many dropped calls that people will say "you need a new phone" or "what's wrong with your phone??" Next, this thing takes 2 to 5 actions to do things that used to take one... and you'll need to figure out that secret functionality needed to do all those things...nothing is logical or intuitive...almost as though Apple has purposefully created all this secret functionality so that only the cool people know how it all works. Seriously, if you came out of an 8, there is TONS of functionality that works differently...not better, not easier (actually harder, more strokes)...just different. Litterly 9 of 10 times I pick up the phone I finish whatever I needed it for with frustration, never do I think, wow, that's a great/helpful device...just the opposite, I think "God, I hate this thing, or God, I should take this back, or God, I regret getting this thing." Bottom line for me is that this isn't a serious device. Good for selfies and scrolling through social media but not much else. Suggest you try other products and use other systems before you stick with Apple, there are simply better options.

I never wrote a bad review before but I am so very disappointed of my iPhone XR.... it is my first iPhone and my first expensive phone, I never owned a phone before that cost more than 50-60 dollars. Last December I finally saved enough money to gift myself with what I believed is a great phone... unfortunately things started stop working , sometimes I have to press several times the screen and it just freezes, also the screen seems to have a crack even if I never dropped my phone, I take very good care of it.... all my previous cheap phones lasted me at least 3 years without even a scratch.... very disappointing.....

In water for 55 minutes

Usually I donít write reviews on devices, but I was amazed when my daughter XR fell into our pond and was in there for almost a hour..our pond is more than 6 feet deep and we had to let water out. To our surprise once my husband got it, the screen was still on, we immediately turned it off and put in rice.. of course my daughter couldnít wait to turn it on (sheís 20), after 2 hours turned it on and it was still working, put back in rice overnight and itís fine. We are so happy we didnít have to get a new phone because she just got it in March.

Battery takes a little more than 3 hours to fully charge the battery. and the battery life is not as expected.
is this normal?
